Why Should We Inspect Your Property?

A pre-purchase Structural Pest Inspection is a critical step in buying a home.  We look for visible evidence of termites and other wood-destroying organisms (WDO's) that can damage your home and reduce its value. If you know before you buy, you can either have the issues corrected prior to close of escrow or negotiate a purchase price that reflects the estimated remediation costs. A pre-sale Structural Pest Inspection allows you to know, in advance, any visible structural pest issues, so that you can perform remediation prior to listing or pricing your home, with the estimated remediation costs in mind.

We look for Subterranean Termites, Dry-wood Termites, Wood-Boring Beetles, Carpenter Ants, Carpenter Bees, Decay Fungus (Dry Rot), and any visible conditions that may attract these things to your home. Regardless of whether it's a pre-purchase, pre-sale, or a limited inspection, our thorough report will provide a description of any visible infestations or conditions and a diagram showing approximate locations. We do not perform repairs, but can provide you an estimate for repairs, for informational purposes only.  We may also be able to provide some suggestions for local contractors to do the repair work. Treatments

Having been a Sonoma County resident for almost 30 years, we are keenly aware of the importance of having a minimal impact on our delicate ecosystem. At Landmark, we strive to minimize health and environmental risks.

About Us

My wife and I moved here in 1990, and for over 30 years have been a part of the fabric of Sonoma County.  We've raised our kids here, worked, farmed, and worshiped in this beautiful place we call home.

My background is in building materials sales for the construction field.  In addition to being a licensed Structural Pest Inspector, I am also a ASHI trained Home Inspector.  This unique mix has given me both a sharp eye for building deficiencies and a passion for responsiveness and customer service.  

I know that real estate transactions can be highly charged and worrisome for all parties.  It's not my job to add to that energy, but to provide complete information to facilitate a fully informed transaction.
